The temple-style house and jungle gardens are right on the Kampong Bei River edge, perfect for swimming and other outdoor carry on. Our deck and pontoons over the water are perfect for lounging and swimming. The beer garden, yoga hut and Lotus pond are also beautiful places for hanging out around Bodhi.
Kampot
150km south of Phnom Penh, Kampot is on the Kampong Bei River, at the feet of the Elephant Mountains and Bokor National Park. The streets feature old French colonial buildings and a beautiful riverfront boulevard boasting incredible sunsets. A great town to explore, with waterfalls, the market, fruitshake stalls, fishing villages, salt fields and pepper plantations.. Cambodian people in general are very friendly, gentle and laidback . Some basic Khmer will get you in good stead with the locals. Cambodia also has reasonably modern communications (sometimes not the fastest). Internet and international call facilities alongside ATM services are now widely available. Many places have Wi-fi access, including Bodhi Villa, to cater to the ever growing number of travelers accompanied by a laptop or iphone.
